How-to guide

How to delete screenshots in bulk on Android

Short answer

Open your gallery's Screenshots album, long-press the first screenshot, tap Select all and delete. Files by Google also has a Screenshots card under Clean, and Google Photos' Manage storage lists backed-up screenshots. Before deleting all, check for IDs, tickets and receipts, or use a cleaner that sorts junk screenshots from important ones.

How to delete all screenshots at once

  1. Open the Screenshots album. In Google Photos: Library > Screenshots. In Samsung Gallery: Albums > Screenshots.
  2. Select all. Long-press any screenshot, then tap Select all (Samsung: All at the top). In Google Photos, tap the date heading to select a whole day.
  3. Scroll and uncheck keepers. Uncheck anything you still need: IDs, bookings, receipts, warranty details.
  4. Delete. Tap Delete or Move to trash, then empty the trash to free space now.

Which screenshots should I keep?

  • Identity cards and documents (passport, driver's license, ID card).
  • Tickets and bookings for future dates.
  • Receipts, invoices and warranty details for things you still own.
  • Bank or payment references you might need for a dispute.

GalleryJury's screenshot cleaner keeps these automatically and clears expired OTPs, delivery updates, old chats and parking-spot reminders.

Can screenshots be deleted automatically after use?

Android does not do this by default. Some phones offer a "delete after sharing" toggle in the screenshot toolbar settings. Otherwise, a periodic clean is the practical answer.
