How it works
How GalleryJury works
Short answer
GalleryJury, coming soon to Android, works in three steps. A scan finds exact copies on your phone and sends shrunk copies of other photos to an AI judge, which sorts each one into keep or remove; our servers delete the copies right after. You review any category you like. Then one tap on Free X GB clears the list, and deleted photos go to Android's trash first.

How to clean your gallery with GalleryJury
- Grant photo access. Once the app is on Google Play, install it and allow access to photos. On Android 14 and later you can choose all photos or selected ones.
- Run a scan. Your first 50 photos are free with a Google sign-in. The app finds exact copies on the phone, then shrinks other photos (512–1024px) and sends the small copies to the AI judge.
- See the result. You get a total, Free X GB, broken down by category: exact duplicates, lower-res copies, similar shots, screenshots, forwards, memes and greetings, accidental shots and old reminders. Blurry and Poor shots are two extra categories, off by default.
- Review (optional). Open any category to swap a best-shot pick, keep a photo, or turn the category off.
- Tap Free X GB. Confirm once in Android's system dialog. Deleted photos go to Android's trash first.
- Pay once if you want more. After the 50 free photos, $5 covers 5,000 photos scanned. Pay once, nothing renews. No subscription. See pricing.
What is an AI judge model?
A judge model is an AI that rates things the way a careful person would. Ours looks at a photo and answers practical questions: Is it sharp and well framed? Is it a meme, a greeting, a receipt, an ID? Is it the same moment as the photo next to it, and if so, which shot is clearest? Those answers decide what is kept.
Why does the scan use a server?
A judge model good enough to compare similar shots and read what a screenshot is about is larger than a phone can run quickly. We send shrunk copies (512–1024px) to our AI provider for analysis and delete them from our servers right after. The scores come back to your phone and are stored there. See privacy and safety for details.
What does the app never do?
- Remove anything without your confirmation.
- Remove a protected document, a favourite, a photo in a protected album, or a photo from the last 48 hours.
- Keep your photos or their scores on our servers.
- Connect to Google Photos. It works on the photos stored on your phone; if Google Photos backed a photo up, the cloud copy stays in your Google account.
- Charge a subscription.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a scan take?
It depends on gallery size and connection speed.
Does it work offline?
The AI check needs a connection. Finding exact copies, the review screens and restoring removed photos work offline.
