WhatsApp downloads photos automatically by default, so every image posted in every group lands in your gallery. Will it delete the WhatsApp chats themselves?
No. GalleryJury only removes image files from your phone's storage. Your chats and messages are untouched. In the chat, a removed image shows as unavailable, the same as if you had deleted it from the gallery yourself.
How do I stop new forwards from filling my gallery?
Free WhatsApp settings help: turn off Media auto-download so images are not saved unless you tap them, and use Settings > Storage and data > Manage storage > Forwarded many times to bulk-delete viral forwards inside WhatsApp. Turning off Media visibility hides new WhatsApp media from your gallery, but it does not save space, because the files are still downloaded. Frequently asked questions
Can it tell a good-morning image from a real sunrise photo I took?
Yes in most cases. Greeting images have overlaid text, decorative borders and come from WhatsApp's folders, while your own camera photos do not. Anything unclear is kept.
